The Department of Belarusian literature

The department has 12 teachers, including 2 doctors of philology and 6 candidates of philology

Recently, the Department conducted two international scientific conferences:

"National and universal in Slavic literatures", in commemoration of the national writer Ivan Shamyakin (September 2007);
"Regional, national and universal in Slavic literatures", in commemoration of the national writer of Belarus Ivan Naumenko (September 2008)

Department operates on scientific and pedagogical school, "Regional, national and universal in the literature: the spiritual heritage of the Belarusians in the global context" (supervisor Prof. Steiner IF)

Defining the role of the regional spiritual factor in the development of the national way of artistic interpretation of reality;
Analysis of multi-genre system of Belarusian literature in Slavic and European contexts
At the department operates postgraduate studies "Belarusian literature".

The Department of Russian and world literature

Head of Department - Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Ivan Afanasyev.

Department of Russian and world literature (up to 2005 - Department of Russian literature) in its present form was founded in 1970: in addition to the Chair of Belarusian literature, she was separated from the joint chair of literature. Over the years, the department was headed by Doctor of Philology, professor P.P.Ohrimenko, Ph.D., associate N.V.Rodchenko, V.N.Sobolenko, L.L.Ermakova. Currently head of the department is a candidate of philological sciences, associate professor I.N.Afanasev. The collective work of the department of 11 people, including - 6 candidates of sciences, among them - 5 professors; 3 senior teachers, 1 assistant, 2 laboratory.

Representatives of the department have been awarded three times higher in the Gomel State University named after Francis Skorina scientific recognition - laureates Skorininskih scientific readings. In 1987 - Associate V.N.Sobolenko for scientific work "Forms incarnation of thought in people's epic novel." In 2002 - Associate I.N.Afanasev for a series of scientific papers "Chernobyl era of artistic expression and experience of national culture." In 2007 - Associate N.P.Kapshay per cycle research "Development and implementation of innovative methods of integrative teaching in university and school courses on the history of Russian, Belarusian and world literature."

The Department of Russian, General and Slavic Linguistics

Кафедрой регулярно проводятся международные научные конференции по проблемам славянской фразеологии и ономастике, а также конференции в рамках деятельности Общества Кирилла Туровского

The Department of Belarusian culture and folklore

Teachers of the department is carried out training activities at the philological faculty for students majoring in "Belarusian fialalogiya" and "Russian Philology", on the historical and legal departments, as well as the department of foreign mov.Shtogod Department staff is actively involved in the centralized testing.

The Department of the Belarusian language works in accordance with the quality management system, according to which each employee is personally liable to the extent of its competence for quality of raboty.Vykladchykami department were developed and integrated into the learning process lectures on the basic disciplines of the faculty based on the best pedagogical practices using innovative technologies. Instructional materials developed annually for practical training, exercises for self-control and works of students, consisting tickets for exams, assignments to the examination for students of correspondence department. Developed basic training and work programs in the disciplines of the department.

In addition to traditional philological disciplines, the department of the Belarusian language each academic year to develop and implement new learning process dytsypliny specialization. Thus, in 2011-2012 teachers of the department classes on specialization "Computational Linguistics" course "Psycholinguistics" and "sociolinguistics". Continue teaching specialized courses in the disciplines of specialization "Literary work in newspapers and magazines."
By the way, many graduates fialagichnaga faculty with specialty "Belarusian philology" specialization "of a literary work in newspapers and magazines," working in mass media Gomel region.

Employees of the Department of the Belarusian language are also involved in the implementation of many research projects. Research interests of teachers of faculty is diverse. Research at the Department is working to develop research topics: "Vocabulary of national life and economy in speeches Gomel Region", "People's natural terminology," "vocabulary of material and spiritual culture of the East Slavic Belarusians in context" (supervisor - Doctor of Philology, Professor Stankiewicz A.lyaksandra A.) "phraseological kantseptualizatsyya and Belarusians kategaryzatsyya world" (supervisor - Doctor of Philology, Professor Leschinskaya Olga).

On faculty scientific seminar, in which are active all teachers kafdery, preparing a variety of research reports, participate in the discussion of the papers read by members of the department.
