She graduated GSU (the Department of Philology) in 1991, got the degree of Ph.D. of Philological Science in 1997, nowadays she's the Associate Professor of Russian, General and Slavonic Linguistics Department.She's the author of 25 scientific papers.She defended her candidate thesises titled as "Hydronimy of Sozh basin. Protoslavic fund" under the scientific supervision of Professor Raisa M. Kozlova.

Born on 12.05.1963. She graduated from GSU in 1988 with a degree of "Russian language and literature." Working at the Russian, Slavic and general linguistics chair since 1988 as an assistant. Educational disciplines: contemporary Russian (lexicology, phraseology, phonetics), a workshop on the Russian language.

 

 

Vladimir I. Koval

 

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Specialization: Philology, Faculty of Philology, Gomel State Institute. Candidate of Philological Sciences, 1981. Doctor of Philology (1999), Professor (2001).

The Head of The Russian, General and Slavonic Linguistics Department Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. The author of more than 200 scientific and educational works, dictionaries and reference books in the field of Russian and East phraseology and lexicology, gender linguistics, ethnolinguistics and mythology. His works are published in scientific journals of Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany. The member of Belarussian Slavistics Committee. The Member of XII, XIII and XIV International Congress of Slavists in Krakow (Poland), Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Ohrid (Macedonia). Presidium member of Belarussian Public Association Russian Language and Literature Teachers (BOOPRYAL).

In 1992 he taught Russian at the Beijing Capital Pedagogical University. Vladimir I. Koval supervises by post-graduate students, some candidate thesises on phraseology and ethnolinguistics are defended under his supervision. He is a member of two Committees at candidate thesises defense, at the Belarusian State University. He regularly performs as an opponent for candidate and doctorate thesises, reviews monographs, collections of articles and tutorials, examines school textbooks in Russian.
